The role of a class teacher within Primary Education is to develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the national primary curriculum and early years’ framework. You are responsible for developing and fostering the appropriate skills and social abilities, organising the classroom and learning resources, and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment for pupils aged 3-11 years.
A successful primary teacher will be confident in motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation whilst maintaining discipline and ensuring pupil progress in line with the appropriate framework.

We cater for all roles across primary education, which is divided into 3 phases:
- Early Years Foundation Stage – Nursery & Reception (ages 3-5)
- Key Stage 1 – Years 1 & 2 (ages 5-7)
- Key Stage 2 – Years 3 – 6 (ages 7-11)
To work within one of our client schools, primary teachers will be required to be qualified practitioners (UK or Overseas Trained). All of our primary teaching positions, across each of the 3 phases, whether a class teacher, PPA and intervention specialist or class teacher with additional responsibility, are permanent, fixed or long term contracts. We are NOT a supply agency, which our service and your recruitment experience start to finish will reflect.
Secondary school teachers are subject specialists, skilled and trained to teach one or possibly two subjects across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. As a subject specialist, a secondary school teacher is responsible for ensuring they are up to date with developments in their subject area, new resources, methods and national objectives.
Secondary school national curriculum
The role of a secondary school teacher has become more complex, as new teaching methods and resources have been introduced and developed. Over the course of the academic year, teachers are tasked with preparing pupils for qualifications and external examinations, whilst managing pupil behaviour, undertaking pastoral duties, and supporting children through academic and personal difficulties.
To ensure teaching standards are maintained, teachers undergo regular observations, participating in regular training through INSET and CPD, contributing towards the training and development of trainee teachers and NQTs. The introduction and support of subject specific teaching assistants has become a welcome addition to the classroom and has strengthened the focus on raising attainment, providing dedicated pupil support on a 1:1 and small group basis.

2/10/2016 - I graduated last summer, and registered with the agency to apply for jobs as a teaching assistant to gain experience working in a school and decide whether I wanted to go into teaching. I was quickly given an interview, and Natalie came and met me at my school on my interview day to go through all the relevant paperwork and settle my nerves! I thoroughly enjoyed my year at the school working as a learning support assistant, and was sorry to finish in july.
